About me
My name is Michael Lauts.
I have been working in the yacht, marine, and commercial shipping sectors since 1988. I completed my training as an industrial mechanic in mechanical and systems engineering at a well-known shipyard in northern Germany and worked there until 2023. New construction and repairs, particularly in the yacht sector, are my passion.
My responsibilities include the steering system, shafting, bearings and seals, propulsion system, tender doors, gearboxes, engine alignment, control systems, bow and stern thrusters, and stabilizers. I hold a commercial driver’s license for trucks, including trailers, aerial work platforms, and forklifts. I have also completed training courses in the use of Chockfast and a current STCW course.
I am here to assist you with my extensive expertise. Whether you need consulting services, supervision for work to be carried out at the shipyard, or a mechanic who is passionate about his work, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to travel worldwide on short notice.
